LONGHORN RUN 2021
Since its inception in 2010, Longhorn Run has become a University tradition that unites students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the Austin community during the spring semester. Produced through the combined efforts of Longhorn Run student committee and Recreational Sports, the race offers 5K and 10K courses that start on the UT campus and run through campus and surrounding areas. Proceeds from the race benefit the UT Student Government and Recreational Sports Excellence Funds.
This year, Longhorn Run will proceed as a virtual event.
While we embark on this new year with optimism that it will bring us one step closer to allowing us to hit the pavement physically together as we were once used to, we remain cautious and keep your health and safety at the forefront of our planning. It is with that in mind that we’ve made the difficult but necessary decision to proceed with Longhorn Run as a virtual event once again this year.
We invite you to mark your calendars, set a goal, inspire friends and family to join you in your race journey as you prepare to cross your finish line on Saturday, April 17, 2021. We’ll be there every step of the way with training support, motivation, and even with modifications--- all that makes this event so special.
