2021 ONLINE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.  HOWEVER, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JOIN US, IN-PERSON REGISTRATION WILL BEGIN AT THE EVENT ON SATURDAY, 6:45PM - 7:30PM.  SHIRTS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE.  PREVIOUS YEARS' SHIRTS ARE AVAILABLE AS AN OPTION.  WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO SHARING AN EVENING OF LIGHT AND LOVE. ❤️ 

What it's about:  every summer since 2015, parents and family who have lost children in a multitude of  ways, come together with their friends and anyone who would like to show support, to remember losses during pregnancy, and infants, children and young adults who left this world too soon.

This is also a time to lift up the light and love in all of us that wants to be heard and seen in dark hours. It's a chance to see that both joy and pain can be held close at the same time.

How it works:  parents and families who have experienced child loss, are invited to submit basic information, such as name/family name, birthday, day of loss, and a photo if desired.  The submission transfers to either a 12 foot white banner along the course (loss during pregnancy), or a memorial marker presenting an 8x10 picture, name, etc. This is completely free.  It also comes with a small gift for the family.  The parents of the child will also receive a $10 discount on registration for the event.

The course: a 2.4 mile loop with a large inflatable rainbow marking the start and finish line. The "Each One Counts Mile" begins with a path lined with several 12 foot white banners, each one representing a submitted loss during pregnancy, then makes a turn on State Route 245 that hosts memorial markers, each honoring an infant, child, or young adult and statements of encouragement from parents who share the experience of child loss.

1.) Virtual Run/Walk

In addition to event registration, a virtual run option is available for anyone unable to attend the event in person. The registration will include: Tri-blend event t-shirt, bib number, and a link to the first-person view video through the 2.4 mile memorial course. Items will be mailed for an $8 shipping charge. There will also be an option to link your run/walk activity to the Runkeeper app, if you would like to make it official and receive a certificate to print upon completion. This service is included in registration fees. Registration will close July 11th, 2021. Please allow 3 weeks for shipping.

2.) 7th Annual Young Life Memorial Run/Walk and Lantern Release in West Liberty, Ohio on Saturday, July 10th, 2021 6:45pm - 10:00pm

*** Each family/group participating together (10 or less), can claim a circular "pod" painted on the grass. They will be spaced 6ft + apart from other pods. This zone can be used as a space to keep belongings, eat, and launch lanterns from. When signing up you can choose to create or join a team in memory of a loved one

The second mile hosts memorial markers, each honoring an infant, child, or young adult. The terrain is a mixture of hills and flat surface, mostly on roads, some on grass. Registration includes: Tri-blend soft t-shirt, bib number, one raffle entry, and a sky lantern

This is for anyone unable to attend the event in person and is available through July 11th. The registration will include: Tri-blend (extra soft) event t-shirt, bib number and other goodies. Items will be mailed for a $8 flat rate packing and shipping charge. There will also be an option to link your run/walk activity to the Runkeeper app, if you would like to make it official and receive a certificate to print upon completion. This service is included in registration fees. Every virtual participant will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Amazon gift card. The Drawing will take place Monday, July 12th and winner will receive their gift card in the mail.

Rainbow Kiddie Dash Closed

Kiddie Rainbow Dashes are held prior to the start of the Memorial Run/Walk. Start lines begin as close as 20 meters for 1-2 year old, and increase in distance up to age 8. As they cross the finish line, they will receive a finisher's medal. This registration includes a cotton t-shirt, bubble wand, gold fish crackers, and fruit snacks.
