Run the Reagan

RUN "THE REAGAN" (Virtual Edition)

Registration is now open! The 27th Annual Run the Reagan will be VIRTUAL this year due to Covid and the transmission risks associated with large gatherings. Some things that make this year's race both new and unique from previous years:

• Instead of running on Ronald Reagan Parkway, you can run your 5K or 10K anywhere you want. If you are looking for a nearby course, we are providing several options via mapmyrun.com. They are pre-measured courses that you can access on our race website, runthereagan.net
• The dates to run are spread out from March 20 through March 31, so you can run when it is convenient for you (and the weather is good).
  
• We are having a drive through packet pickup (at Brookwood High School on March 18 & March 26 from 4:00-8:00), or you can have your shirt and race number mailed to you for a small fee.
• You can register all the way until March 31 at midnight.
• After your run, you can enter your own race time back into race roster as a permanent record. Due to the virtual setting this year, there will be no physical awards given out, but they will return with next year's race.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Run the Reagan, Inc. encourages socially distanced running and discourage gathering in large groups to participate in this year’s virtual event. Additionally, if you are sick with COVID-19, have symptoms consistent with COVID-19, or have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, it is important to stay home and away from other people until it is safe to be around others. We encourage all virtual participants to adhere to the current CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 precautions.

Run the Reagan®, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization composed of local business leaders, lawyers, active and retired healthcare providers, and community leaders. Our mission is to plan and produce fundraising events that will benefit local 501(c)(3) organizations that provide much needed services to needy residents of our community. Race proceeds are donated to our charitable organizations, The Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry, The Lilburn Cooperative Ministry, and The Brookwood Schools Foundation. We also support dozens of our local schools by sharing race revenues based on teams created by their schools. As you may be aware, many of our local residents, including children, go to bed hungry and they can use your help and support this year more than any.
