COVID-19 Info
As we have all seen and heard recently, the Delta variant of COVID-19 is quickly spreading throughout our communities. We will continue to keep safety as our top priority and plan to implement a few minor changes for race day:
- – Face coverings will be mandated for all at our expo when indoors in the Ford Building at Camp North End. We also ask those that are unvaccinated to wear their masks while outdoors at the expo as well.
- – There will be numerous hand sanitizer stations at the expo and on race day that we suggest using after any contact.
- – In line with CDC guidelines, masks are optional on race day given the outdoor nature of this event. Face coverings and practicing social distancing are highly recommended for anyone who has not been fully vaccinated or would like to take additional safety precautions. Face coverings will be made available to all participants at the start line on race day.
- – Ample hand washing stations will be located throughout the the start / finish line area.
- – Water stops will be handled in the traditional way with volunteers wearing face coverings and gloves as they pass out water to runners; if you do not feel comfortable with this, please bring your own water bottle.
Due to these recent changes, we need to reiterate our refund/deferral policies. With our race being less than three weeks away, all materials (shirts, medals, etc.) have already been ordered therefore we are not able to offer refunds at this time. If you do feel uncomfortable racing this year, we have two options for you:
- – Runners may transfer to our virtual race until Sunday, August 29th for $5. This $5 is to partially cover our sunk costs for the in-person race. Runners will still receive their medal and shirt.
- – Runners may defer to our 2022 race until Monday, August 23rd for $10. This $10 is to partially cover our sunk cost of the shirt and medal for this year’s race. We must apply a deadline in order to plan appropriately for our expo and race day.
