Mystic Valley YMCA - Serving Malden, Medford, and Everett

The Mystic Valley YMCA (formerly the Malden YMCA) was founded in 1881 and serves the communities of Malden, Medford and Everett, MA. Our mission is to strengthen the foundations of community and support individual needs by providing programs in youth development, healthy living and social responsibility including childcare, summer camps, afterschool programs, aquatics, fitness and group exercise, healthy living and prevention, leadership development, STEM and robotics programs, grocery and meal distribution and more. In a typical year, we serve over 23,000 individuals from diverse backgrounds of all ages with our programs and services and we distribute over $400,000 in financial aid and scholarships so that anyone who wants to experience all that the Y has to offer is able to regardless of their financial circumstances. Our response to the COVID-19 crisis has included a dramatic expansion to our food distribution programs, as well as converting our childcare and afterschool programs to Remote Learning Centers and safely providing swimming, fitness, and wellness opportunities. In 2020 alone, our Y distributed over 2 million pounds of food to over 100,000 individuals from throughout Greater Boston.
