Open Road Recreation 42.2K Team Relay
- The Open Road Recreation 42.2K Team Relay event is divided into 5 separate sections, or legs. Teams are made up of a minimum of 3 members and maximum of 5 members.
- The 5 Relay legs start and end at four separate Relay Exchange Zones - four points along the course where one team member's section ends and the next team member's section begins. The approximate distances of the five 42.2K Team Relay legs are approximately:
- Leg 1 – 6.5K - Start Line to behind Dorsey Place
- Leg 2 – 8K - behind Dorsey Place to Broadway Ave/Broad St
- Leg 3 – 9.5K - Broadway Ave/Broad St to McDonald St/Assiniboine Ave
- Leg 4 – 10K - McDonald St/Assiniboine Ave to Lakeshore Dr near bird sanctuary
- Leg 5 – 8K - Lakeshore Dr to Finish
- Exchanges marked in red
- Depending on whether you have 3, 4 or 5 members on your team, you can assign the relay legs as you like.
- The Open Road Recreation 42.2K Team Relay takes place on SUNDAY of race weekend.
- The race starts and finishes at the Conexus Arts Centre, 200A Lakeshore Drive.
- Minimum age is 14 on race day.
