The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville, Tennessee, Inc. (RMHC) is to “keep families close” by providing essential resources and a “home away from home” for families of critically ill children receiving inpatient or outpatient medical care at Nashville area hospitals.

Since 1991, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Nashville has provided safe and affordable housing for more than 15,700 families whose children faced a critical illness.  These families came from every county in the state of Tennessee, forty-one other states and many foreign countries, and at RMHC of Nashville they found a temporary home near their child’s hospital.  They also found support and encouragement from caring staff, volunteers and other parents in similar circumstances.  The same comforts of home are also available at our day-use Ronald McDonald Family Room located in Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

Opening in 2004, the Family Room extends our special brand of hospitality to the fifth floor of the Hospital and makes RMHC services available for any Davidson County resident with a child being treated at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.  To date, more than 434,000 individuals have been served in the Family Room.

Programs of Ronald McDonald House Charities are 100% funded through the generous support of our extended community. Funds from the 2021 Moosic City Dairy Dash will help support the operation of these two programs.
