The Fusion Winter Classic
Rush to the Goal 5K and the Break-Away 1K

All event staff members and volunteers must answer a 3 question questionnaire prior to to each event. All answers must be “NO”. Any “YES” answer will eliminate their ability to work the event. The questions are as follows
1. Have you been in contact with anyone that has tested positive for COVID19 in the last 14 days?
2. Have you tested positive for COVID19 in the last 30 days?
3. Have you had a fever over 100.2 degrees in the last 14 days?
- All event staff members and volunteers must wear mask during the entire event. This includes all staff members and volunteers working inside or outside while in contact with a participant.
- In addition to mask, all staff members and volunteers handling, serving, preparing or handing out ANY food or drinks must also wear latex gloves.
- Proper Social Distancing must be maintained by everyone at all times. And mask worn when not eating, drinking, or running.
- Hand sanitizer will be available at all tables and booths where participants visit during the event.
- All event staff and volunteers must have their
temperature taken and be under 99 degrees to attend the event. A touch-less thermometer will be used. - Race starts will be done in waves to avoid large groups running in close proximity. Each wave will be start 25 runners placed in the starting Shute, maintaining social distancing. There will be 1 minute between each wave to spread runners out over our 3.1 mile loop course.
- Medals will be handed at arms length to each runner.

North Port Fusion FC Soccer will be hosting our
2nd Annual Fusion Winter Classic 5k/1k event.
All proceeds benefit the fantastic kids that make up our competitive soccer program. Our race is being produced and directed by My Favorite Race Events, LLC and is comprised of the Rush To The Goal 5k and the Break- Away 1k.
Meet us at our main Soccer field, where our event will start and finish for an amazing after party. Our loop course will take you winding through the streets of North Port as you Rush to the Goal of great food, cold beer, bounce houses, and music.
Runners, walkers, and strollers are all welcome to help support these young athletes.
This is also the first race in the Publix Championship Racing Series.

50-50 Ball Raffle
Only 200 tickets sold! What awesome odds of winning! Each time we reach 200 tickets sold, we will draw a winner, award the cash and then start our raffle over! Each time 200 tickets are sold out, a winner will go home with $2,000 CASH!
Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased on our Run Sign Up site, at packet pickup, on race day, or from any of our incredible athletes!

(If 200 tickets are not sold, the winner will receive 50% of however much is sold. As soon as 200 tickets are sold we start another 50-50 Ball Raffle, and all the same, rules apply!
Awards
This is a timed 5k race with a custom race shirt and medal for every finisher. Age group awards will go three deep. Masters awards will be presented. Awesome prizes for the 5k overall male/female and youth over winners.
Male and female overall winners package: A pair of Asics Running Shoes, a $50 Fit2Run Gift Card and a really nice Adidas backpack embroidered with Fusion logo.
Youth overall winners package: Adidas backpacks embroidered with Fusion logo.
Master Award Packages: Adidas backpack embroidered with Fusion logo.
The 1K will not be timed but participants will receive a race shirt and finishers medal.

Race bibs cannot be sold!
You have a couple of options. For $10 you can defer to 2021 Fusion Winter Classic or for $20 we will transfer your bib to another runner of your choice. The last day to defer or transfer is December 25, 2019.
We also offer Registration Insurance.
The registration protection option allows you to get reimbursed up to 100% if you cannot attend the event for several reasons, including covered injury, illness, traffic accidents, and more. It also includes Required to Work coverage as an added benefit of protection in the instance that you are required to work for a covered reason.
Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. Insurance benefits are underwritten by Jefferson Insurance Company. AGA Service Company is the licensed producer and administrator of these plans.
Packet Pickup
We are planning 2 packet pick-up locations. The first one will be Friday Night, Jan. 22 packet pick-up will be Il Primo Pizza and Wings, 16979 Tamiami Trail in North Port from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM. And then Race Day registration will be at Narramore Sports Park from 6:00 AM until 7:15 AM.
Refund Policy
Your entry into this race is considered a Charitable Donation to the Fusion Soccer League. You can cancel your registration online within 15 minutes of registering and receive a full refund. After 15 minutes, there are no refunds for any reason! This race has a NO REFUND POLICY. By registering, you are accepting and agreeing to this policy.
