Raise money for Autism Ontario – London Chapter

Autism Ontario – London Chapter is a non-profit organization, run by volunteers, and has been serving families affected by Autism in Middlesex, Oxford and Elgin counties since 1979. Our mission is to provide information, support and friendship to families and community members dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and to assist in educating the broader community about autism.

All funds obtained from the ‘Forest City Road Race' will stay within our community to support the over 4,000 people Autism Ontario London serves in our local catchment area.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a term used to describe a range or “spectrum” of autism, from very mild to very severe. Included in that range are Aspergers Syndrome, PDD-NOS and Autism. This broad range is one of the reasons that autism is such a complex disorder. You will rarely meet two people with autism that are the same in their abilities. Currently, statistics show that Autism Spectrum Disorder affects 1 in 66 individuals in Canada.
