The COVID-19 pandemic has created a growing mental health crisis across Canada. Months of isolation, financial stress, and anxiety are creating an echo-pandemic affecting the mental well-being of young people. Kids living with severe physical disabilities, and their families, have been, and continue to be, significantly affected.

For many of these kids, a Sunshine Dream experience is the only hopeful thing they have and plays an essential role in their personal development and health management. For the kids we serve, their families, and even our supporters, we know that hope and encouragement are the best antidotes in challenging times. By fulfilling dreams for kids living with severe physical disabilities, Sunshine creates positive, long-lasting experiences that help shape kids’ futures... but we can’t do this work alone.
