Raise money for Grand Philharmonic Choir
The Grand Philharmonic Choir includes 200 adults, youth and children in four separate choirs, each with their own season.
Despite the pandemic, we are hard at work this year with some wonderful online projects that include reaching out to musicians from across Canada.
Our latest venture, Sing Across Canada/Chantons Ensemble, Canada, brings together four choirs, from Halifax, the Montreal area, Waterloo Region and Edmonton, plus a composer in Vancouver and a poet in Montreal. Together, we're creating and recording a beautiful new work that speaks to our experience during this unique and difficult time. It will be released to the public in May.
When we are able to sing in person again, we will return to our work providing choral music experiences. We offer music education for singers of all ages; we host a composition competition for composers 30 and under across Canada; and we perform for the community, from the well-loved choral works to newly created gems.
