Join Tampa Bay and the cross country community in celebrating Cross Out Cancer’s sixth annual race as we offer this year's virtual 5K! The race window begins Saturday, January 9th, and lasts until Sunday, January 17th.
Cross Out Cancer, Inc. is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit comprised of high school cross country runners from competing teams around Tampa Bay who raise money to ease the financial burden on the families of pediatric cancer patients. The Cross Out Cancer 5K is the culmination of a fundraising campaign that directly benefits our restricted fund at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, where 100% of the money raised goes to the families of children being treated for cancer. Come aid the fight against pediatric cancer at Picnic Island Park!

Due to an increase in coronavirus cases in the Tampa Bay Area, Cross Out Cancer will be following city guidelines and switching to an ALL VIRTUAL RACE for 2020/21. Those who had signed up for the in-person 5K race or 1 mile walk will be automatically switched to the virtual race. Thank you so much for your continued support of Cross Out Cancer in these challenging times and for being understanding of our decision to transition to an all virtual race. All racers will still be receiving race packets with their race t-shirts from their school's representative, or in the mail. We're looking forward to all of our virtual race participation!

Although we are having a virtual race this year, we will be meeting in small groups based on high schools to run together as a community. Below are opportunities to run with different schools. Please reach out to the contacts listed below each location with any questions.

For runners who live out of the area: we will be mailing your race packet to you as soon as possible. Please contact Grace to confirm your mailing address
There are additional packet pick-up options for Academy of the Holy Names and Clearwater Central Catholic families.
AHN families can email Grace to have their packets delivered to them at school on Friday.
CCC students can pick up their packets from Max and Michelle outside of the MAC on Friday or before the CCC race on Saturday.
Runners who do not sign up before January 4th may not receive their packet by January 9, 2021. Our team will do our best to get your packet to you as soon as possible.

Those who sign up for the 5K run or 1 mile walk and participate in the event qualify to receive service hours. Please see your high school's board representative to inquire how many hours students from your school qualify for.
