The Guided Virtual Big Easter Run

Come run the official Big Easter Run route with voice guided navigation around Jericho Beach Park.
Live March 27th to April 25th 2021
Suitable for all ages and abilities including strollers and leashed dogs.
This holiday themed run offers a 5km or 10km Run/Walk around scenic Jericho Beach Park.
Run with the local bunnies, enjoy a scenic run along the water, through the trees and around the park, while hearing fun facts about Easter and motivational messages from special guests!
The Big Easter Run tours picturesque Jericho Beach Park. Starting near the concession stand, the course winds its way along trails surrounded by spring blooms, twisting through the forest and then looping onto the beach side path, with unbeatable views of the North Shore and Vancouver skyline. With mild inclines and stable paths, everyone is assured a beautiful and stress-free run/walk. The route is for all ages and abilities. Pet & Stroller Friendly!

Helpful Hints
- Route mix of paved pathways gravel trail, woodchip trail.
- Please check weather and conditions before starting your run
- Dress Accordingly
- Stroller must be suitable for light trail use
- Dogs must be on leashes
How to Run "Virtually"
Step 1: Get the free RunGo app
Download the RunGo app for iPhone, Android, or Apple Watch, or make sure you have the latest update.
We suggest creating a free RunGo account to keep track of your completed runs, but this is optional to participate.
Step 2: Open the race route in the app
The voice-guided app highlights some of the stories, supporters, and points of interest in our city.
Read the route’s description on RunGo to prepare for your run, including starting spot.
Step 3: Run the route
You can follow these routes on RunGo with the built-in turn-by-turn voice navigation, without getting lost, and without needing a map!
We suggest trying a practice run, as a separate run or warm-up: select your race route, choose Virtual Treadmill or Virtual Outdoor Mode (if you’re not at Jericho Beach Park), start your run, and end after taking a number of steps (say, 30 seconds), in order to make yourself comfortable with the start and finish.
Step 4: Seamless submit to the leaderboard
At the end of the run, look for “Share Your Run” -> “Submit to Virtual Race” and select your race’s name. This will seamlessly add your run or runs to the leaderboard on the race website.
Step 5: Celebrate!
You did it. Way to go! Check the leaderboard. Tell us your story! Share your run, photo, or video on social media, and mention @rungoapp @bigfunrunseries or #rungoapp #bigfunrunseries
Prizing
Prizing Qualification period is from March 27 to April 25 2021.
Most prizing is provided by businesses based in BC or Vancouver, so should awards be won by anyone living outside this area they will be substituted with a free entry to a future Big Fun Run Series Virtual or in-person run.
