The Emerson Point Scenic Sunrise 5K will be a socially distanced in-person event produced by Fit2Time on April 17, 2021 at the beautiful Emerson Point Preserve. The course will be a fast out and back from the entrance of the park to the point and back on a mix of crushed gravel trails and road. This will be the first event in the inaugural Sunrise2Sunset series supporting the Big Bill Foundation. The first 300 runners to sign up for both the Emerson Point Preserve 5K and the Robinson Preserve 5K or 10K will receive a special pair of custom Goodr sunglasses at packet pickup for the Robinson Preserve event!
All participants will receive a race shirt, bib, and a unique Woodallion medal. Post-race food will include a protein muffin courtesy of Bayshore Nutrition, Chocolate Milk courtesy of Dakin Dairy, and a complementary beer coupon good for use at Motorworks Brewing. We will be starting the race in groups of 50 participants every 5 minutes to provide safe distancing.

Packet pickup will take place at Conley Buick GMC from 3PM - 7PM on Friday April 16th. Packet mailing will be available for all participants who opt for packet mailing during the checkout process. There will be no onsite race day packet pickup due to Covid-19 restrictions. Overall Winner, Masters Winners and age group awards for first place finishers will be available for pickup at the Fit2Run UTC store location following the event.
King and Queen of the Point Challenge
The fastest Male and Female Overall and Masters runners to make it to the turnaround at the point will receive a free pair of On shoes!
Parking for the event will be available at the large field on 17th St W .6 miles East of the park entrance. Participants will need to walk or jog from the parking lot to the start/finish area.

The beneficiary of the 2021 Emerson Point Scenic Sunrise 5K will be the Big Bill Foundation. The mission of the Big Bill Foundation is to provide scholarships to participate in extracurricular activities for youth that have battled childhood cancer or other life-threatening conditions. Honoring the memory of Bill Robinson, the Big Bill Foundation is striving to bring the benefits of extracurricular activities, such as sport, music, and art to the lives of children that have fought the hardest battle.

Weather Cancellation Policy
We value runner safety. In the event of severe weather conditions, the director(s) reserve the right to cancel the race for the safety of its participants. Registrations cancelled due to inclement weather will not be refunded, but instead used to cover event costs, with the balance being treated as a charitable donation to the event beneficiary.
Conditions that may result in event cancellation include (but are not limited to): lightning, high winds, flooding, fires, and other acts of God.
IMPORTANT Timing Information
This event has a chip-timed start and finish. Each bib will have two timing chips affixed on the back - please do NOT tamper with or remove these chips! In order to ensure accurate results, please make sure you are wearing your bib front and center and uncovered by clothing or other items.
