The 12th Annual Oak Forest Fleadh is centered around
FITNESS, FAMILY AND FUN!

The CNB Virtual Fleadh 5k takes place on March 6, 2021 & kicks off our FLEADH AROUND TOWN event.
As a virtual event, participants can run or walk anywhere and anytime,
between March 6 through March 17, 2021.

Create your own fun with your group! Gather your family or friends the morning of March 6 and run it together. It may not be the tradition 5k competitive way, but the last few months we've all learned to adapt to new things! The love of running hasn't changed, so let's get creative and have some fun!

To commemorate this virtual event, all participants will receive a long-sleeved performance shirt and finisher digital medal. Goody bags will be given at packet pick-up (while supplies last).

Fundraising efforts:New this year, we have teamed up with Julia's Legacy of Hope. Jeff and Leslie Janes, formally of Oak Forest, formed Julia's Legacy of Hope to raise money for childhood cancer research to honor their daughter, Julia, who died from pediatric cancer at the age of 20. A portion of each 5k registration will be donated to Julia's Legacy of Hope. Their annual St. Baldrick's event at Gaelic Park has been cancelled. Last year, it raised over $50,000! Changes had to made because of the inability to close Cicero Avenue and covid restrictions.

8-11a Run/walk your Oak Forest Fleadh Virtual #CNBFleadh5k - many teams & groups are planning their own fun for the morning! Check the Oak Forest Fleadh FB for updates! After your run, post your pics using #CNBFleadh5k & #fleadharoundtown on FB & Instagram!

Same day race registration will be available from 7:30a - 9a at OAK FOREST PARK DISTRICT. Weather looks great, so come out and get in a run before the parade!!!!

8:30-10:30 Leprechaun Activities & Pre-Parade Festivities at the Oak Forest Park District: crafts, hot cocoa bar, games, bean bags & concessions! The Oak Forest Park District is located at 15601 Central Avenue. Our onsite sponsors will be doing giveaways, too!

11a Family Parade, steps off at Oak Forest High School, and heads south on CENTRAL to Oak Forest Park District. We are the ONLY local parade this year! Don't miss the fun! The parade route is 15200 Central to 15601 Central. Our Parade Grand Marshal is Run to the Pub, a local running group celebrating their 9th Anniversary! Many youth groups, local businesses, and Stockyard Kilty Pipe Band will be joining our parade!

All day - Hunt for the $1000 Golden Ticket!
Kevin Szabo Jr. Plumbing is sponsoring this fantastic event! A golden ticket will be hidden somewhere along the parade route. Who will find the lucky ticket and take home $1000!

Then after a busy morning, make sure to visit our bars and restaurants to enjoy some irish cheer! They will be open all day and night to provide irish music & specials throughout the day!
