Looking for a brilliant experience over the holidays?
Run Ottawa's 6th annual Light Run is on from December 18-January 3!
While we will not be able to come together as a large group this year, we are encouraging runners and walkers alike to experience the annual holiday tradition with their families or small groups. The 5K route takes you through the festive streets and parks of downtown Ottawa starting and finishing at Parliament Hill. Get into the spirit and dress yourself up in a holiday costume and flashing lights!
There will be TWO prizes* for the following categories:
1. Best Festive Costume 2. Most Creative Route Photo
This event is free to everyone, however, donations are being accepted for Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend's Scotiabank Charity Challenge Partner: Shepherds of Good Hope—an organization that fosters hope and reduces harm in Ottawa by supporting the homeless and most vulnerable with specialized services, programs and partnerships. If possible please consider giving to those less fortunate this holiday season. You can donate through the registration form. Thank you!
*You must be registered to be eligible for prizing. The route and Instructions on how to upload your times and/or photos will be sent to you once you register.
Please note: We are encouraging participants to limit the number of people they participate with, while adhering to the public guidelines put in place by Ottawa Public Health. If you come across friends on your run, please remain six feet apart. It's all about the air high fives this year!
