Mid summer fun in the Blue Mountains near Thornbury! In this event, we're partnering with Thornbury Village Craft Beer & Cidery and a trail network nearby to offer 6k and 11k distances for you to choose from! This is a virtual-hybrid race. We want to keep the sense of place in a regular running race by using the same course, while allowing you to complete that course on your own time, observing social distancing and safety precautions. Each distance has its own course and its own leaderboard, you can submit the GPS data or a screenshot of your race (or use Runkeeper to submit the race directly) to see how your time compares to the rest of your competitors!
Race kits are picked up from the cidery either before or after your run. Run any time between August 1st and September 15th!
Course details will be released in May 2021, once the snow clears and we can all get back to the trails again!
This is a self-supported endeavour. There are no natural water features or aid stations on the course. You will need to pack any water / support items with you, and take everything back out again – leave only footprints.

About Thornbury Village Craft Beer & Cidery
Our beer originates from Thornbury Village, namesake of the well-known apple growing and cider making region of Thornbury, England. Thornbury is the largest apple growing region in Ontario today, but this story began in the mid-1800s when immigrants discovered the Niagara Escarpment soil and the water of Nottawasaga Bay was perfect for growing apples. We proudly craft our cider in the midst of 7,500 acres of apple orchards, in the heart of apple country. Our Cider is handcrafted by Doug Johnson, Head Cider Master.
