2021 COVID PROTOCOL - It's urgent that you READ-LEARN-FOLLOW!
UPDATED on 1/27/21
VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT - If the following protocols are not followed for the remaining four races, we are in jeopardy of losing the race venue and canceling the series. No refunds will be issued if we have to cancel due to non-compliance. This is totally in YOUR hands, race participants and spectators!!!
Race Participant and One Guest
Each race participant and ONE guest will be allowed to enter Anne Springs Close Greenway on Sunday during the Winter Short Track Series. Race participants must present their race number or race confirmation at the security shack and guests will be required to pay $5. In an effort to keep things moving, please have your number or race confirmation handy and, if you have a guest, $5 in hand.
First and foremost, STAY AT HOME if you are:
- Not feeling well and/or running a fever
- Currently have COVID symptoms - CDC LIST OF SYMPTOMS
- Have had a COVID exposure and not been tested - CDC EXPOSURE INFO
- Tested positive for COVID in the past 14 days
STAY AT HOME! STAY AT HOME! STAY AT HOME!
Masks are Required
Masks are required at ALL times unless you are on the trail warming up for a race or you are racing. All spectators, sponsors, coaches, volunteers, parents, and staff will be REQUIRED to wear a mask. Persons of any gender, race, ethnicity, religion and/or political persuasion are REQUIRED to wear a mask at the race venue. If we somehow missed anyone in the previous two statements, you are REQUIRED to wear mask. If you can not comply with this, please do not come to the race venue as you could be the responsible party for this exciting race series being canceled.
Social Distance @ the Venue While at the race venue, please practice social distancing. It's pretty simple folks, keep a minimum 6ft away from anyone and everyone unless it's a member of your household. The ONLY time anyone should be close to each other is on the start line. We are creating pool noodle hats and belts that act much like curb feelers for those who have trouble understanding social distancing. |
Registration
There is a max of 25 participants per category per race. If 25 people register for the series in any category, there will be no available spots for individual race registration.
NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION - Individual race registration will close at 8pm on Saturday before the race.
You will use the same race number for the entire series. If you lose or forget your 2021 race number, there will be a $5 replacement fee.
Race Start
As mentioned above, we are only allowing a max of 25 per category on the start line. Groups will need to stay within the designated start zone until you are called to the start line. Since participants will be within close proximity of each other, we REQUIRE participants to wear a mask to the start line. Just before your race start, you can remove your mask and place it in your race jersey pocket....NOT ON THE GROUND PLEASE.

Post Event
We are not setting up the kiosk printers or TV screens during the 2021 series as we do not want gathering spots at the race venue. We will post lamented signs with a QR code for you to scan with your mobile phone. The race result signs will be posted all around the race venue.
Podium presentations TBD.
We will not be giving away food at the 2021 series as we are trying to eliminate communal surfaces but we will have a food truck at the race venue. We will have bottled water available for race participants.
