Help Marissa raise money

Hello,

This past year has been a challenge for everyone. I think everyone has had a moment when they felt completely overwhelmed with everything that has happened. The importance of our physical and mental health (and spiritual health--which comes in many forms) has become increasingly apparent.

I am running with the virtual Toronto Marathon (the 10K run) because it gives me a goal, and an opportunity to support health services. Running is my way of feeling more connected to the world, and a means for me to take care of myself. 

The Toronto Marathon encourages donations to: The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation; SickKids Foundation; Canadian Mental Health Association; Heart and Stroke Foundation; and the Canadian Cancer Society. I am running for all of my family and friends who have lost loved ones, or have loved ones living with these types of conditions. Whether it is through programs, or funding research, these organizations can give people hope. 

If there is one that you are able to support at this time, you can donate to them through my personal page. You could also use this post as a sign to donate to whichever organization (global or local) that you have been wanting to donate to for a while! Donations are not the only way to support communities and organizations; you can do whatever you like (share on social media, have personal conversations with people, or get involved). 

Doing something for others, big or small, promotes a little bit more good to the world; in this trying year, it has been wonderful to witness so much good throughout it all.
