Our story…
UPDATE (05/06): Thank you to everyone who donated. The money raised will be specifically supporting CMHA's Family Outreach and Response Program. Also, In light of raising over 130% of our donation goal, Tehseen will be switching from a 10km run to a half marathon (21.1km) on May 15th!
Mental health is a severe issue that affects 1 in 5 Canadians yearly and a recent poll by the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) found that 70% of Ontarians believe there will be a ‘serious mental health crisis as a result of the pandemic'. In other words, if a mental health concern isn't already impacting us, it may be affecting someone we love.
On that note, we are two siblings (and yes our last name is Rana) taking on the challenge of running a 10k during the virtual Toronto Marathon on May 15th, 2021 and raising $1,000 for CMHA in memory of a loved one our family lost ten years ago.
We chose to support CMHA because they help over a million Canadians prevent and recover from mental health issues through support groups and programs that help them cope and live healthy, happy lifestyles.
We are extremely excited to take on this challenge and appreciate all the support.
Thank you so much for donating and making a difference in the lives of so many.
