Marching for Meals 2021

Virtual Walk and Move Event in Support of Meals on Wheels London

Join us on April 30th anytime, anywhere for the annual Marching for Meals walkathon that supports Meals on Wheels London (MOWL), a charitable organization operating since 1969!

This fun casual event brings together supporters of MOWL to raise vital funds to support meal and transportation services for London seniors and adults 18+ living with disabilities.

Participants will be able to participate in the walkathon portion of the event in their own social circle or by themselves, outdoors or at home on a treadmill! Along with our signature walk, there will also be a virtual Silent Auction and Trivia Night! There will be various prizes at stake for top participants, fundraisers and trivia players!

Help us reach our goal of $20,000 in support of Meals on Wheels London!

HOW TO REGISTER

  • Select Virtual Registration on the left side of this page or paste this link into your search bar https://raceroster.com/events/2021/37827/marching-for-meals-2021/register
  • You will be asked to set up an account that you will use for the walkathon
  • From here you will be able to select any of the distance challenges at no cost; you can also purchase a ticket for our Trivia Night!


HOW TO UPLOAD YOUR WALK TIMES

  • Select Post Virtual Results on the left side of this page or past this link into your search bar https://results.raceroster.com/en-US/results/tgxr4myfk3b4nqye
  • Select the distance challenge that you registered for from the dropdown menu, then select Submit a Virtual Result
  • You will be asked to enter your walk time and can upload a screenshot from any of your favourite distance tracking apps


HOW TO CREATE A TRIVIA TEAM (April 30th - 7:00 PM)

  • Select Virtual Registration on the left side of this page or past this link into your search bar https://raceroster.com/events/2021/37827/marching-for-meals-2021/register
  • You will be asked to set up an account that you will use to register for trivia
  • From here you will be able to select 'Trivia Night - Team Captain Ticket Purchase' and move forward with payment
  • A ticket to our trivia night is $25 per group up to 5 players
  • Your group leader will register and pay for the trivia pass (if you raised $100 through the walkathon, please email Devon at dmota@mowl.ca to claim your free entry!)
  • When you register, make sure you select 'Yes, create a new team and add this registrant' and pay for your ticket (If you forget to make a team, email dmota@mowl.ca to fix this)
  • Zoom details for the event will be shared prior to or on the morning of April 30, 2021

HOW TO JOIN A TRIVIA TEAM (April 30th - 7:00 PM)

  • You will be asked to set up an account that you will use to register for trivia
  • From here you will be able to select 'Trivia Night - Team Member (Free)'
  • Contact your Team Captain for your access code to join the team!
  • Zoom details for the event will be shared prior to or on the morning of April 30, 2021
