Marathon Tours & Travel has been offering the Antarctica Marathon & Half-Marathon since its inception in 1995. As the proud event organizer and the exclusive tour operator, we are excited to host the 2021 Antarctica Virtual Marathon & Half-Marathon for our loyal runners. The event will bring together alumni, future travelers and postponed 2020 / 2021 participants to celebrate our inspiring Antarctica community of runners.
Throughout your Virtual Antarctica Experience, we will share a multitude of content to bring Antarctica to you, keep you motivated and engaged. Expect to hear stories from Race Director Thom Gilligan, hear from past Antarctica Alumni, learn about conservation efforts of One Oceanites, participate in contests and so much more. It is a running experience, mixed with learning, connecting, fun and camaraderie! Oh, did we mention the Virtual Polar Plunge? This is free and gives you the chance to repeat your Polar Plunge experience or practice for a future one! Creativity welcomed, especially for those who do not live in Antarctica-like conditions.
When you register, you will have the opportunity to join a Team for some friendly competition. Each Team represents the year you traveled or are scheduled to travel. Not only will this give you a way to re-connect with your past travel companions, but also meet new friends along the way.

Additionally, after you complete your registration, you will receive a follow-up email with a link to give you a $50 discount with Road Runner Sports for a pair of running shoes!
