Excelsior Firecracker Run
Enjoy challenging, scenic terrain that includes stunning views of historic downtown Excelsior and Lake Minnetonka as you navigate the 1 Mile, 5K or 10K route. With rest stops, live music and plenty of enthusiastic volunteers along the way, runners can expect a fun-filled Fourth of July morning.
The Firecracker Run raises money to support the Excelsior Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce July 4 Fireworks and kicks-off a full day of festivities in downtown Excelsior that includes a kid's parade, sand sculpture contest, popsicle social, petting zoo, and of course, fireworks.
Minnetonka Community Education coordinates the Excelsior Firecracker Running events in partnership with the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber of Commerce is in charge of the overall July 4th Celebration in Excelsior. 30% of the proceeds from the Firecracker Running events are donated by Minnetonka Community Education to the Chamber of Commerce for the Excelsior Fourth of July Fireworks display.

Packet Pick-Up
Avoid the crowds and take advantage of pre‐race packet pick‐up on Saturday, July 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Excelsior Elementary School.
Packet pick‐up starts at 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, July 4 at Excelsior Elementary School.
