My Story…
Pancreatic cancer has taken too many people from us.
Just this year we lost Ruth Bader Ginsburg, John Lewis, and Alex Trebec.
But pancreatic cancer is much more personal to me.
It also took my mom and my grandfather.
It is one of the most lethal cancers.
Not only are treatment options limited, but early detection (the best hope at survival) is as limited.
With more research we can fix both of these problems so a diagnosis is no longer a death sentence.
I'll be running Project Purples first virtual race and fundraising for this amazing cause.
If you aren't familiar with Project Purple, dollars raised go to supporting research, raising awareness, and supporting families who are battling this disease.
As many of you know, I have been stuffering from long term impacts post-COVID. Specifically my cardiovascular abilities when from good to terrible (a 9m/mi to a 11:30m/mi).
This will be the hardest run I've done - because these 13.1M will be completely solo (no vibe, no spectators cheering, no comfort stations).
But your dollars and support will give me speed and encouragement when I need it.
And truly I appreciate every dollar given, as well as shares to help raise awareness.
This so much love and gratitude, thank you for supporting me
💜 Jennifer
Ps: the photo is with my mom, having a pint of the black stuff, when she visited me when I was living in Dublin. Figured it matched the Paddy's Day race ☘️
