The Blarney Blitz 5K is Central Illinois'
St. Patrick's Day themed race.
In 2019, over 1100 participants started their St. Paddy's celebration with the Blarney Blitz!! Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Blarney Blitz was canceled. Now with proper logistics in place, the Blarney Blitz can be run in 2021! We still have to run in waves. Might be 25, might be 50, but we are running!
The event takes place the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day - March 13, 2021 - and includes a 5K run/walk and a shamROCKIN' good time!!!

Blarney Blitz!
- This flat 5K course takes place along Peoria's riverfront with the start and finish outside of Kelleher's Irish Pub on SW Water St. near the corner of Walnut and Water Streets.
- Each participant will receive a race specific t-shirt, beads, and one beer! **Please note - Race swag is limited first 500 participants registered. There are no refunds for this event.
- Our post race might be different than in the past, but we will be hanging with our friends at Kellehers!
- Age Group Awards are awarded to the Top overall male and female and to the Top 3 male and female in each age group.
- Age Groups include: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
