My Story…
Many of you may or may not know that I myself am a survivor of colorectal cancer so this cause is close and dear to my heart!
The Bumrun is a charity organization founded by Dr. Ian Bookman, a gastroenterologist in Toronto. Dr. Bookman founded the Bumrun to raise awareness and promote early screenings for colon cancer.
Founded in Toronto, Bumrun is thrilled to be expanding across Canada this year, hosting runs from Vancouver to Halifax.
By joining us on Sunday, April 25, 2021, you’re helping to fund charities with a proven track record of encouraging screenings. This year, Bumrun partnered with Colorectal Cancer Resource & Action Network (CCRAN), whose mission is to support, educate, and advocate for colorectal cancer patients and their caregivers.
Colon cancer affects 1 in 13 Canadians, so it is likely to touch someone you know. Whether you're walking or running the virtual 5K, you're helping us wipe colon cancer off the map!
