Endless Mountains Race Festival

April 24 and 25, 2021

Located on the D&H Rail Trail in Forest City PA.

We have 4 races each day: a marathon, half marathon, 10k and 5k. We run these races on both Saturday and Sunday.

Update April 21: I apologize. It looks like on some of the artwork (shirt and embroidered jacket) that the word Festival is not spelled correctly. It shows Restival.

I take responsibility for this error.

April 10, 2021 update: I am happy to announce that all athletes who preregister for the events will receive an embroidered jacket! There are no deadlines to register any longer to get a jacket.

If you register for two races, you'll receive the jacket and an "I Did The Double at Endless Mountains" shirt.

We are totally committed to you, the athlete, having a memorable experience on race day. Endless Mountains will have the same commitment to Athlete Satisfaction as all of our other events. You'll be part of an organized, fun event with great shirts, finisher's medals, on course aid stations, and awards. We follow all COVID safety protocols at all of our events. We do it BECAUSE WE LOVE THE ATHLETES!

Special offers

• If you register by April 15, you'll receive an embroidered race jacket with a full length zipper. This is an extended deadline because: athletes love the embroidered jackets and we want happy athletes!
• We are known for our race jackets at the Two Rivers Race Festival and we are very happy to be able to offer them for Endless Mountains
• if you register for any two events at any time, you'll receive an "I DID THE DOUBLE AT ENDLESS MOUNTAINS shirt," in addition to an embroidered jacket

If you register after April 2, that's fine. Here's what you will get:

• if you register for any two events, you'll receive an embroidered jacket, as well as an "I DID THE DOUBLE AT ENDLESS MOUNTAINS" tech t-shirt
• if you register for one event after April 15, you'll receive the event tech t-shirt
• if you post a Boston Marathon qualifying time, you'll receive an "I QUALIFIED FOR THE BOSTON MARATHON AT ENDLESS MOUNTAINS MARATHON" tech shirt
• if you register for two events, you'll receive an embroidered jacket and event t-shirt

If you are registering for two events, here's the easiest way to do it

• if you are doing a marathon on both days, register for the dual marathon
• if you are doing a half marathon on both days, register for the dual half marathon
• if you are doing any other combination of events (marathon/5k, half marathon/10k, 5k/10k) please register for each event separately

We also feature interlocking finisher's medals.

• Saturday finishers get the left side medal.
• Sunday finishers get the right side medal.
• Race both days and you'll get the interlocking set.
• This permits us to be able to offer two finishers medals.
• The finisher's medals for the inaugural event will be the Endless Mountains profile in the background and a vintage train engine in the center of the interlocking medals.

• The artwork is being developed by our artist right now and I'll post it as soon as it is created and approved.

Here's our first look at the Finisher's Medal. It will be interlocking with the second day medal.

• Course info: The D&H Rail Trail is basically a flat course. The half marathon is an out and back loop. The marathon is two out and back loops.

Course Elevation

• The trail is hard packed. Over 99% of the course is on the trail. Regular running shoes are fine, although you may want to confirm this for your own personal surface type of shoes.
• You can see on the mapmyrun link course elevation.
• The course starts at 1474'. The turnaround point is at 1727'. Over 6.55 miles, you'll climb 253'. That is less than a 1% per mile climbing gradient. You lose 253' going back to the start, descending less than 1% per mile on the return.
• It's a former railroad line so the course has to be nearly flat for rail cars to transit it.
• The marathon will be on a certified course.
  • The course is currently being measured.
  • I guarantee it will be a certified marathon and half marathon course.
  • The course is generally two loops of the half marathon course. The marathon will be a Boston Qualifier.
• the Half Marathon is on a certified course (PA11020WB). It is a one loop course.
• the 5k and 10k courses start at the marathon start and are our and back courses.

For 6% of your entry fee ($4.20 for a $60 entry), you'll be able to get a refund, withdraw or defer for any reason from the event. You are protected. We want you to have a great time at our event.
