We're going virtual!
(no in-person event at TUCC)
For your father, your husband, your brother, your friend, or for you! Join The Urology Center of Colorado Foundation (TUCC Foundation) for the 12th Annual Blue Shoe Run for Prostate Cancer on Saturday, September 18, 2021!
Virtual event:
Starting on Sept. 18th you can do your own virtual 5k, wherever you are with your family and friends!
On September 18th all registrants will receive an email with links to track the time of your virtual 5k. We will have awards for 1st-3rd place for men, women and survivors. We also have a $50 Gift Certificate for each 1st place time in the three categories.
You're invited to upload pictures from your celebration to https://www.facebook.com/TheBlueShoeRun/ and you can view your pics and stories on the community page https://www.facebook.com/TheBlueShoeRun/community
You have two options for tracking your time:
|
This option is ideal if you are planning to complete The Blue Shoe Run Virtual 5K run/walk outdoors and prefer to use a mobile device app. The app does use GPS via location sharing to track your distance, so if you plan to run on a treadmill, we recommend using option #2 below. Pro Tip: We recommend going to your mobile device’s app store to download the ASICS Runkeeper™ app and getting familiar with it prior to using it for The Blue Shoe Run Virtual 5K. |
|
Don't want to download an app? No worries! You can keep track of your time manually and even upload a selfie or screenshot if you’d like when you finish the race!
Pro Tip: If you have multiple people registered on the same e-mail address, you can click “Use a different registration” on the top right of the page to find the correct registration to add your results to. Only one result for each registered participant will be captured.

T-shirts – Race packets for teams with ten or more members will be available through your team captain by Thursday, September 16th. Packets for individual registrants and teams with nine or fewer members may be picked up in the TUCC lobby during regular business hours from Monday, September 20th, through Thursday, September 30th. Registrations that included the packet mailing option will continue to be mailed.
We appreciate your patience with the evolving pandemic and we hope to see everyone in-person in 2022. All funds still benefit prostate cancer research through TUCC Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
Since 2010, The Blue Shoe Run has raised more than $300,000 for TUCC Foundation and prostate cancer research. Let's Stomp our Prostate Cancer together!

Team Up to Stomp Out Prostate Cancer!
Team up with your family, friends, co-workers, and others to create your 2021 Blue Shoe Run team!
Prizes will be distributed to the three largest teams and most spirited Blue Shoe Run teams on race day. Team Captain, please take a look at the Team Captain Toolkit link below the picture!
All teams with at least 50 members will receive their own team tents on race day. The first team to reach 25 participants will receive its own Little Shoe tent. The first Blue Shoe Run team to reach 50 participants will be recognized with The Big Blue Shoe tent on the event day. Food and drinks will be available in this area on the west side of the TUCC parking lot. Spirit up your team with great outfits, team t-shirts - whatever proclaims your message about Prostate Cancer!
How to set up a team:
- The team captain must register 1st and name the team.
- For teams that have their registration paid by someone else, the Team Captain needs to arrange for a Team Code with the Race Director before registering even themselves. Contact Keri Olmstead for codes at 303.825-8822, tuccmarketing@gmail.com.
- Once you have named the team, registered yourself, and set up your code (if needed) - you are ready to send your team invitation emails or call.
- Registration is required by Sunday, September 12th, to guarantee shirt sizes. Shirt sizes are not guaranteed if you register after Sunday, September 12th at 5:00 pm.
