Our story…
Once again, I’m participating in the Miles for Migraine 2-mile walk to raise money for Migraine research. As many of you know, several years ago I was diagnosed with a very rare, neurological disorder known as Hemiplegic Migraine. It is the equivalent of having mini strokes over and over again on an almost daily basis. In more severe Hemiplegic Migraine attacks, it is possible to experience seizures, coma and even death. 4 years ago, I was diagnosed with Clusters. Cluster are an uncommon, severe form of neurovascular headache and one of the most painful forms of headaches. The pain is agonizing, searing, and stabbing usually on one side of the head. Cluster patients usually suffer 1–5 short attacks a day and last from 15–120 minutes when having a series of attacks. The sad part is, there is no cure for either of these disorders. So, I am appealing to you to donate whatever you can toward research of these devastating diseases, as every little bit helps. Thank you!
