Hammer 3K as hard as you can..and get a nice H+P rankings time in the process! As always, it will be converted to a 5K equivalent which will provide a solid baseline of your best-case 5K fitness going into the spring.
- The segment loses almost 50m of elevation- much faster than choosing to do your own course.
- When running the segment, run on the LEFT side (oncoming traffic).
- Start well beyond 3K from the intersection @ Wilmot (maybe 3.3-5K away) and keep running onto Wilmot even though the finish line is just before (time your faster efforts for somewhere in the middle).
