Bucking Broncos 5K Run/Walk
Benefitting Walther Christian Academy
Come join us for our FIRST annual Bucking Bronco 5K Run/Walk at Walther Christian Academy, 900 Chicago Avenue, Melrose Park, IL. 60160. The race will START/FINISH on the school Football Field (asphalt) just north of the school building, and continue through Melrose Park’s nearby neighborhood, ending back at the FINISH/START line.
This is a certified route and timed event. All runners and walkers must be registered to participate in the event. There will be fruit, granola bars and more free to participants. If you would just like to be at the event but not participate, there will be a fee of $5.00 to enter the grounds. Water will be provided along the route and in the booth area. There will be lively music and a festive atmosphere. Your registration fee will support Walther Christian Academy, a Middle School and High School that serves students from 50 zip codes. Our school is taught in the Lutheran tradition in a diverse, caring and inclusive community.
This is a RUN/WALK for all ages and will be a fun, healthy community event. Whether you have heard of Walther or not, please join us for a fun and safe 5K.

General Information
Race Timing
We use disposable chip timing tag that runners receive at packet pick up on their race bibs. It is lightweight and remains attached to the race bib. This race is timed and scored by Time to Run and live results will be posted at https://results.raceroster.com/results/nq7ftbwn9r3u9cx3
Runners MUST wear their race bibs on the front of their clothing in order to be timed accurately. The bib cannot be covered, holding it in your hand or putting it in your pocket will NOT read the chip. Do not bend the chip. Smart watches such as Garmin and smart phones can interfere with the timing chip frequency. Please do not adjust your watch or phone as you cross the finish line and come through the chute. Disputes for times on Smart watches and smart phones will not be taken into consideration.
Packet Pickup
Thursday, June 3, 7:30am - 1:00pm & Friday, June 4, 1:00-5:30pm at Walther Christian Academy, main entrance, 900 Chicago Avenue, Melrose Park, IL
Race Day Registration and Packet Pick-Up
7:45-8:45am . Race day registration will close at 8:45 sharp, no exceptions. Cash, Check and Credit cards are accepted.

14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and over
Awards
Medals will be given to the top three winners, male and female, in each category, and each age group category.
Race Shirt
Every registrant will recive a race shirt. The shirt is Unisex Cotton. Please make your shirt size choice during registration.
