The “Fireman’s Bar-B-Q” fundraiser has been a long-standing tradition for the community of Topock/Golden Shores. Fundraising is essential for this once completely volunteer fire department. As with most county-funded fire departments, raising additional funds is necessary to supplement the department’s income. These additional funds provide much-needed staff training and equipment. The Off-Road 5K Fun Run/Walk, sponsored by Topock Community Pride, Inc., is a fun way to contribute to this fundraiser while having fun at the same time.
The event check-in will begin at 10:30 am, the race kicks off at 11:00 am, and lunch will be served between 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Registration cost is $30 per person, this includes event hat and lunch.
*Race route is off the pavement and goes into the desert.
Event Check-in and Parking are located across the street from the patio @ Hooch’s 66 Bar & Grill, 5035 E Powell Lake Rd, Topock. The “Fireman’s Bar-B-Q” is within walking distance from the race location.
