WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE WOOLY BULLY RACES WILL STAGE AN IN PERSON EVENT ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 15TH!

The Wooly Bully Races will be held on Sunday, August 15th at the farm of Dave Willard, 600 South Services Road on Amherst Island. The event limit is 125 total entries, 5K or 10K races. Race time is 10:00 a.m. and there will be a simultaneous start. Chip timing will be provided by 'Running Goat' event services. Please note that the ferry over to Amherst Island runs on the half hour from the Millhaven dock on Highway 33 just east of Bath, Ontario. The 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. ferries will get you to the race in plenty of time. The 9:30 a.m. ferry will not. The ferry leave from the Stella dock on the hour. Car pooling is encouraged if you feel comfortable doing this. The ferry holds 34 cars and under current protocols, only 18 passengers.
There will be no age categories in either race, the first 3 finishers, male and female, will receive a medal in the 10K and 5K events. There will be random draw prizes given out after the race. There will not be a post race bar-b-que this year although there will be post race refreshment and drinks for all participants.
All registrants will receive the uniquely designed "Wooly Bully Races" finisher medal, that will be mailed out after the race. charged either. The official charity of the 'Wooly Bully Races' is the "Neilson Store Museum and Cultural Centre,' located in the village of Stella on Amherst Island.
VIRTUAL EVENT
We will still continue to accept registrations to the virtual event. Those who have already registered have been notified that they can remain in the virtual category or move over to the in person event. Registration fees are the same, regardless of your chosen category.
FEES:
19 Years and Under: $15. 19 &Under, KRRA Members: $10.
20 Years and Older: $35. 20 Years and Older, KRRA Members: $30
Registration for the live event will close by Thursday, August 12th. There will be absolutely no race day entries.
Please note that you have until August 31, 2021 to submit your virtual event time to Race Roster. The link will be sent to you personally via email.

Additional Details
Should we be given approval from the Township of Loyalist to stage an 'in person' event, all registrants will be contacted via email and given the choice to attend or continue to do their event virtually.
Please note that the 35K 'Island Challenge' is a virtual event only.
