Moonwalk 5k and Run
If you like to walk or run at night and howl at the moon, come out for the Moonwalk and 5k Run on the Cedar City Coal Creek Trail System on June 25th, 2021. Designed for both the runner and non-runner, this run has a timed 5k for runners and a non-timed 5k for walkers. Even better, thirty percent (30%) of all entry fees will go to support the Iron County Care & Share! Find out more at careandshare-ut.org
Taking place underneath the last Full Moon of Spring—commonly referred to as the Strawberry Moon—this run has plenty of extras, including glow sticks, moon pies, and tons of summer fun.
Start & Finish Line:
The run will start and finish at West Canyon Park (Ann J. Gardner Park) along the "crick" or as some call it "creek".
Check-In / Bib/Shirt Pickup: Participant Check-in will take place at the West Canyon Park Pavillion at 7:30 PM. However, we encourage participants to pick up their bib and shirt the day before (June 24th) at the City Hall Council Chamber from 3 pm - 8 pm.

With some elevation gain early on, this course isn't for the faint at heart. With that said, what goes up must come down, with an easy, moon-gazing jaunt to the finish. Zoom in on the map below to see the course route, start/finish line, aid station placement, and other details.
