My Story…
My younger sis Sarah was diagnosed in March with ovarian cancer. Instead of wallowing in self-pity (which is of course how I would have responded), she's chosen not only to fight this brutal disease in her own life, but also to help raise ovarian cancer awareness in her community and thus potentially save lives.
To that end, Sarah's put together a team to compete in Jodi's Race, a 5K fundraiser for COCA, an amazing local organization devoted to promoting ovarian cancer awareness and providing crucial support for women with this diagnosis.
Sarah's "Team F Cancer" will not be running this race. Nor will we be walking this race. We will be prancing this race, every damn k of the 5k event! ;-o
