In 2017 Duncan was born premature and required to be in the NICU at McMaster Children's Hospital. We ended up staying 5 months at the RMHCSCO, it was our home away from our home when we needed it the most. We were steps away from our son, and when you cannot bring your child home from the hospital, to be that close was so comforting for us. The house always provided smiles and support from the staff and volunteers, a warm meal every night, a warm bed - anything to make our stay as comfortable as it could possibly be! Our family will be FOREVER grateful for the RMHCSCO; and that is why we're again participating in Footsteps for Families!

Ronald McDonald House Charities South Central Ontario (RMHCSCO) serves as a regional resource for thousands of families whose children are being treated at local hospitals. Families typically come to us within 48 hours of their children's critical diagnosis, premature birth, or accident. These families' lives have been instantly turned upside down and our programs are committed to providing safe and comfortable accommodations, nutritious home-cooked meals, laundry services and specialized programming.
By making a donation today, you will be helping to ensure that these comforts of home are available to provide a sense of normalcy when their lives are anything but, and ensure that the only thing our families need to focus on is each other.
