Raise money for Research, Education & Awareness for Children with Hirschsprung disease- REACH Canada
Research, Education & Awareness for Children with Hirschsprung's (REACH) raises awareness for children and families living with and affected by Hirschsprung disease. REACH was originally established in the US in 2011 and gained Canadian charitable status in February 2019. Hirschsprung's (HD) affects 1 in 5,000 children primarily boys worldwide. HD is a colorectal related disease where nerve endings are absent from the colon requiring a surgery called a pull through. Some children require several surgeries. The goals of the foundation are to reduce the number of fatalities and to overall improve the lives of children and adults through fundraising efforts to fund research, and to educate families and the medical community.
