IT'S ALL ABOUT SWIMMING FASTER AND MORE EFFICIENTLY!
The Open Water Swim Clinic with Triathlon Coach Brian Botzman consider the experience and skill level of the participants at each clinic. The clinic is for swimmers with a wide range of skill levels: from the beginner swimmer to those with several or more years of organized swim event experience. Our open water swim clinic is attended by swimmers who are doing their first ever triathlon all the way up to Ironman and swim endurance athletes.
Swim Clinic 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
This is designed for attendees who wish to improve their stroke technique AND experienced athletes who want to review the fundamentals of their swimming. There will be approximately one hour instruction by a Swim Coach followed by approximately 30 minutes of open water swimming with individual feedback. Specific topics covered are body and head position, comfort in the water, sighting, drafting in the water, rotation, breathing, and timing of the stroke. Participants will have the chance to obtain feedback in real-time.
Free Open Water Swim 9:00 am - 9:30 am
Opportunity to free swim, practice learned open water swimming techniques, swim transition, and practice your swim under the watchful of Coach Botzman. This is an opportunity to apply some of the coaching received to actual swim.
