Come run or walk with us! A virtual run takes place any where you live! You sign up for your preferred distance, get a confirmation email and begin the journey of becoming a Luchadora with our team! You can run this event anywhere between July 4 and July 20. July 4 is Independence Day of the USA and July 20 is Independence Day in Colombia, both places benefiting from our event. 100% of registration fees go to benefit two different programs.
The Luchadoras 5K/10K/13.1 Run/Walk is an event to benefit warrior women in both the United States and Colombia. Luchadora means "Fighter/Warrior" in Spanish. The registrations from this event will 50% benefit a program for military wives and/or female veterans in the U.S. to attend a retreat in November called "HEaRd"to encourage them and coach them in growth. This is put on by Crews Coach, who is a certified life coach as well as a military female warrior herself. She sets out to strengthen and encourage those females who will join her for the HEaRd conference/getaway in November.
The second 50% will benefit a program in Colombia, led by a non-profit called Footprints with Hope which organizes a program called Luchadoras en Acción. The Luchadora program helps women who have been in abusive situations walk through a program designed to teach them a skill to give them a sustainable income, teach them financial management and help them work through psychological issues with a psychiatrist. All these women, both in the U.S. and Colombia, are Luchadoras!
Following your completion of distance, you'll submit your time to our event and we will list them, just like if you were completeing an event in person. Once completed, we will mail out your medal!
