Our story…
Our team will be playing Pickleball for 3 straight hours twice a day on Friday and Saturday and once on Sunday (4/30/21-5/2/21) for an estimated total of 25 miles per team member. This event is to raise awareness and funds to support Heroes in Transition Inc which was founded in 2009 in memory of Capt. Eric A. Jones, a Marine helicopter pilot who lost his life while supporting a combat mission in Afghanistan , October 26, 2009.
Pickleballers will be wearing a ruck sack, backpack or something similar. As every servicemember is forced to carry the burden of war during active service and beyond, carrying the ruck sack is symbolic of hardships endured and the perseverance required to complete the mission
