In efforts of raising awareness for the well being of seniors, Team Pain Dimension would like to highlight the importance of pain management in the elderly population. The human experience of pain is unique, multifactorial and can differ from person to person. Focusing on seven dimensions: physical, sensory, behavioral, sociocultural, cognitive, affective, and spiritual can really help target and identify the sources of pain, and help provide accurate interventions and help in the healing process. Whether you are taking care of your old loved ones at home as a caregiver, or in a health care setting as a health care professional, we all can educate ourselves and help raise awareness to take care of the seniors in our community. Together, we can make a difference.
