Hustle for The Harbour
Virtual Run/Walk/Bike Challenge
Sunday, April 11 – Saturday, April 24, 2021
Do you love to run, walk, or bike? Do you love supporting a good cause? Then you are in luck, because Winnetka Congregational Church’s Hustle for The Harbour gives you the opportunity to do both at the same time!
How does this virtual challenge work? It’s really quite simple. First you register. Whether you want to run, walk, bike, or do a combo of the three, you will set a goal for the number of miles you hope to complete in two weeks. You set your goal. You set the course. You choose the times and locations. You set your pace. You can run/walk/bike outside or inside on a treadmill or stationary bike. You can go alone or with a group of friends. The possibilities are countless! It is a great way to stay active and support a good cause while doing so. Plus, you get an awesome race shirt for participating!
Who is sponsoring this event? This virtual challenge was inspired by a high school member of Winnetka Congregational Church who decided she wanted to do something to give back during these strange and extraordinary times. Sparked by this motivation, a team of middle school and high school youth got to together with our Outreach Councilors to plan a virtual fundraiser to support The Harbour and we are very excited that you are looking to participate! Our race shirts were also designed by one of our youth team members!
One race shirt will be provided to all paid participants. Want extra shirts for your family members? You can purchase additional shirts in both youth and adult sizes in our event store. There will be both a “pick up” option for shirts for those who are local and a mailing option for those who are not. Please specify your preference in your registration.
Track your miles and your time then log your miles here to be eligible for awards. We will have awards for the most miles, the longest run, the longest ride, and more!
Want to make the challenge even more fun? Invite friends, family, and neighbors to join you. You can run, walk, or ride together or go on your own and encourage each other along the way!
If this is your first time doing a virtual challenge like this, don’t sweat it! Enjoy every moment and go out there and have fun! It doesn’t matter if you complete 1 mile or 100 miles. All that matters is that you signed up, set a goal, and got out there to complete it! All while supporting a great cause! Don’t know that you can get out there and put in the miles? Don’t worry, you can still donate to support The Harbour. Your support still matters greatly and we thank you!
Register by April 10th if you want to make sure you have your shirt before our LIVE, virtual finish line celebration on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 6:00 PM (Central Time) for some fellowship and games and to learn more about The Harbour.
If you would prefer to donate by check, please make your check payable to Winnetka Congregational Church, write "Hustle for The Harbour" in the memo line and mail to Winnetka Congregational Church, 725 Pine St, Winnetka, IL 60093.
