3rd Annual Heroes On The Water 5K Trail Run/Walk
We are in our THIRD year of the Heroes On The Water 5K! Thank you to all our past runners for all your support!
We are excited to announce that the 3rd Annual Heroes On The Water 5K will be held on October 9, 2021 at Riverbend Park! New to this year's race, we will be running on a trail! This is a flat hardpacked surface that is perfect for running! Participants have the option of registering for an in-person timed 5K, or a Virtual 5K! All participants will be receiving a performance race shirt, finisher medal, swag bag, post-race food & more! Chip timing will be provided by Southern Timing, LLC. Proceeds from this race will benefit the Treasure Coast Heroes On The Water Chapter. This race is hosted by the Southern Timing Foundation, Inc. A registered 501(c)(3) organization.
About Heroes On The Water
Heroes on the Water, a 501(c)(3) veterans’ charity, creates alternative therapeutic programs to serve veterans, active-duty military personnel, first responders and their families. These experiential programs incorporate structured activities proven to improve the lives of these men and women. Each experience reduces the impact of post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury while providing much-needed camaraderie and support.
About the Race
The Heroes On The Water 5K is in its third year running! Our past events have been held at Jonathan Dickinson State Park & Halpatiokee Regional Park. We are excited to bring a new experience to the race by running on the beautiful trails at Riverbend Park!
Your registration includes 1 raffle ticket that you can choose which prize to enter for. Prizes will be donated and will be made available as race day nears. You can also purchase additional raffle tickets at packet pick-up and on race day. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony.
We will have light snacks and various drinks available for your both before and after the race. There will be 1 water station on the course that you will pass twice.
We will have event medics on site as well as a course marshal patrolling the course to ensure the safety of all participants. This is a trail run, there may be hazards on the trail while you are running. It is your responsibility to watch for and avoid these potential hazards.
Children 17 & Under can register for the race at $20, this discount will be applied during check-out. We are also offering an Active Duty/Retired Military member and First Responder rate of $20, you just need to select that registration category.
Race Timing
This race will be RFID chip timed by Southern Timing, LLC with LIVE RESULTS and there will be preliminary Results' Kiosks provided for you to search for your preliminary results. There will also be a Start and Finish Line Video that captures a 20 second clip of you coming across the Start/Finish Line for you to share or download!
Packet Pick-Up
There will be a pre-race packet pick-up on Friday 10/8 from 3pm - 6pm in the parking lot of the front office at Riverbend Park located at 9060 W Indiantown Rd, Jupiter, FL 33478. If you are unable to pick-up your packet on the 8th you can pick-up your packet on race morning starting at 6:30am.
Top 3 Overall Male & Female Finishers
Top 3 Overall Male & Female Masters (40+)
Top 3 Male & Female in each age group:
10 & Under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over
There will be no double placing in the awards. If you place in the overall category you will be pulled from the masters and age group awards.

Run or walk in the 3rd Annual Heroes On The Water 5K Trail Run/Walk! All participants will receive a chip time, race bib, tech shirt, finisher medal and swag bag! Participants will also receive live timing with an individual results page with a 20 second clip of you crossing the finish line!

This registration category is for Active Duty/Retired Military members and First Responders only. You may be asked submit verification either by email or at the race. Those who register in this category who are not Active Duty/Retired Military members or First Responders will be required to pay the difference between this price and the current race price.
