RC Training Presents - BDI 2.0
Greg White and Blair Gorsuch pioneered the original training programs offered to our running community. Publicly facing, these programs were known as Building Steam, Team Steam, the IVS half marathon training, and RC Training. Behind the scenes, this training was known as BDI - Blair Dog International.
I have had the privilege of training under many great coaches. However, the coaching that I received from Greg White and Blair Gorsuch through BDI was the most effective platform that I have ever experienced. As a result, this coaching philosophy has shaped the last 15 years of my personal training. It is with great pleasure that I come to the community with something old, but something new...BDI 2.0!!!
BDI 2.0 is a training program that is goal-oriented training that is designed for people that have a desire to compete in distances over 10k. It is a training platform that will encourage participants to use heart rate (not required but encouraged) and goal pace to establish an individual's training to reduce injuries and optimize performance.
What is new with BDI 2.0 is that we are bringing a highly experienced coaching staff (6 coaches with over 100 years of combined training and coaching experience) for this program. It is our belief that to provide the community an effective training program of this caliber, we must have a dedicated coaching team of men and women that is both running with the participants, but also standing on the sidelines to offer advice and guidance.
The coaching team for BDI 2.0 is the following:
Adam White - 2:24:47 marathon PR
Brooke Williams - 2:55:28 marathon PR and 1:24:31 1/2 marathon PR
John Havenga - 2:50:52 marathon PR and 1:20:23 1/2 Marathon PR
Sue Schliepsiek - Ironman Wisconsin, 6 x 1/2 Ironman finishes, 6 marathons, and over 15 1/2 marathon finishes
Jeff Neltner - completed over 30 marathons and over 30 1/2 marathons (3:00:22 marathon PR and 1:25:03 half marathon PR)
Brad Henz - North Central College XC and Track & Field, FAST (Fun and Smart Training Coach), Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training Coach
