Our story…
Our team, LOU'S LEGACY, is honored to take part once again in this year's 5k fundraiser for The Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital.
Our family participates every year in this event in memory of our beautiful mom, Louise (Lou) Chmura. This is our way to continually honor her memory by now giving our support to the staff that cared for her and showed our family support through her 2nd breast cancer battle.
Our mom was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, and mom whose absence is felt and missed every day. A headstrong, successful business owner with her "partner in crime", our late dad, Henry(Hank) Chmura, she was well respected and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her from family, friends, customers, work colleagues and acquaintances. Her fight, spunk, spirit, and determination lives on in us(her children and grandchildren), Lou's Legacy.
That same spirit and determination has driven our team to raise over $47k in the past 7 years we've participated. Our goal is that our efforts and love for our mom will now help other patients in our community during their fight.💞
