Welcome Runners!

The most iconic, historic and second largest 50-mile endurance run in the U.S. is returning for its 42nd year. This race brings together veterans and novices alike. Whether this is your 42nd or 1st AR50, we are doing cartwheels to greet you in person on May 8, 2021.

You can expect first class race management from start to finish. Nine well stocked aid stations, along with four drop bag locations are on course. Our enthusiastic volunteers will provide inspiration and motivation on your journey from Folsom to Auburn.

As we continue to navigate the COVID galaxy, permit protocols and restrictions require a new look. Race management will assign waves based on your projected finish times. For this year, crews and spectators will not be allowed due to permit capacity allowance. We know this is a bummer, (we are sad too!) but we are confident each of you will channel your inner Luke Skywalker and defeat the dark side.
