VIRTUAL RUN FOR IT 2021
Run For It may be virtual this year, but the purpose is still the same - to raise awareness and support for non-profits, civic organizations and other charities throughout a seven-county region of W.Va. (Barbour, Grant, Mineral, Pocahontas, Preston, Tucker and Randolph) and Garrett County, Md.
The Tucker Community Foundation challenges participants to raise team support for the community cause of their choice during the Virtual Run For It 2021 campaign and then run or walk for that cause in a 2k/5k event during the month of September.
During these challenging times, the Tucker Community Foundation is changing up the rules on Run For It. We encourage nonprofit organizations to set up their fundraising page and share it with potential donors. You can add information about your organization's programs and needs during this crisis and beyond.

RACERS - Racers are encouraged to enter online through RaceRoster. Registration opens April 1 and closes on Monday, Oct. 4. Racers unable to enter online may download an ENTRY FORM and mail it to: TCF-Run For It, P.O. Box 491, Parsons, WV 26287.
TEAMS - Team Captains can register teams ONLINE or by printing and completing a TEAM REGISTRATION FORM. Registrations can be sent by mail, in person, email or by fax. Teams must be registered by August 31. Each team represents a charitable nonprofit cause. Anyone can sign up for any team. Team members do not have to walk or run together.

TEAM SPONSORS - To see more information on team causes or to make a donation and sponsor a team, click the team's name in the left sidebar or select a team from this drop-down menu. Deadline to sponsor a team is Monday, Oct. 4.
RACE SPONSORS - Race sponsor donations fuel the race and support charitable causes. Race sponsors receive maximum exposure throughout the campaign. Help build the purse!

How a Virtual Run For It works:
1. Register your team – Team captains can register teams online or by printing and completing a team registration form, www.tuckerfoundation.net/team-info/
Registrations can be sent by mail, email or by fax. There is no cost and teams must be registered by August 31. Each team represents a charitable nonprofit cause. Team members do not need to walk or run together, but they do need a team captain.
2. Join a team – Walkers and runners are encouraged to sign-up online, raceroster.com/47023 or by downloading and completing a registration form on the Foundation’s website, https://www.tuckerfoundation.net/run-2/entry-form/
Entry forms and entry fees can be mailed to: TCF-RFI, PO Box 491, Parsons, WV 26287, or you mail email it to runforit@tuckerfoundation.net and pay by credit card. Participants have until September 30 to register. Each team needs a minimum of five (5) participants to qualify for awards.
3. Raise money for your cause – Participants are encouraged to find supporters (individuals, businesses or groups) who will donate and support your cause. Donations to your team can be made online, raceroster.com/47023
Team Rules
- Teams must register by Aug. 31. Minimum of five (5) team members on race day to qualify for team awards. Teams should not represent multiple causes.
- All solicitations for team sponsor support must state: Funds are being raised in support of [Team cause] for the Tucker Community Foundation Run For It event.
- Participants must not provide any goods or services in exchange for a sponsor’s contribution.
- Participants may send letters to sponsors detailing the event and requesting donations, but may not use the Tucker Community Foundation logo.
- Team sponsor donations must be postmarked by Sept 30.
- Cash awards must benefit the region served by Tucker Community Foundation. Proceeds from entry fees and team sponsor donations may be used outside the Tucker Community Foundation service area as long as it supports the team’s cause as it is stated on the team registration form.
