My Story…
I am putting my feet and my money (and some of yours, pretty please?!) where my mouth is and am running the 10K race held as part of the Blue Nose Marathon race weekend.
I am fortunate that my running route takes me along the Northwest Arm, which I think is one of the most beautiful parts of Halifax. It also makes running for the Ecology Action Centre’s team fitting, as the EAC has recently been working to protect the Northwest Arm from in-filling: https://ecologyaction.ca/press-release/ecology-action-centre-and-group-concerned-citizens-call-moratorium-northwest-arm
I love the Arm, my kids, and our damaged planet my kids will one day inherit… so supporting a local environmental charity like the EAC—which has been working to promote a healthier and more sustainable world for the past 50 years—was an easy decision to make.
