My Story…
As a youth, the arts were a staple in my life that my parents prioritized in my personal development. It opened my right brain, which hasn't closed since!
I want more youth in the community to benefit from a safe, community space where they can express themselves through art and the creative spirit. That is why I am running (walking lol) 5k for the MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning. Join me and Stu for the walk! Or donate if you resonate with our mission.
Description
“I wish I had MacPhee as a kid…”
We hear it time and time again from our facilitators, parents, teachers, and donors alike. Stepping into a MacPhee Centre program tends to illicit a blast from the past experience of nostalgia from the caring adults who are part of our community.
We want to let you in on a little of the magic. Join the MacPhee Centre on November 6-7th for the Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon and Charity Challenge.
Each year, folks gather to run, walk, skip, dance, and jump to the finish line on behalf of charities of their choice. This year we are inviting YOU to join the MacPhee Centre in raising awareness and funds to provide free arts programming to youth who truly need it.
Let’s make sure this generation of youth don’t have to look back and say “I wish I had…”.
The MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning empowers youth between the ages of 12-19 by connecting passion with purpose through the arts. Located in downtown Dartmouth, this community hub inspires creativity and confidence by offering unique programs in visual and performing arts, creative writing, and technology in a safe and inspiring space.
