Eve was diagnosed at age of 3 and had multiple inflamed joints. It was hard for her to stand up in the mornings, because of pain and stiffness. Thanks to the treatment she gained her ability to wake up with a smile in the mornings. It was a great relief, but the journey still continues. She still has some inflammation in several joints. However, she has become much stronger.

The biggest challenge is that though she is almost 4 I see that she struggles with feelings as a grown-up: fear of needles and pain due to procedures, frequent check-ups, unpleasant medications. What helps Eve is child-care program to ease the experience from blood tests and injections, numbing creams, and professional help to express the feelings. It is our goal to support children with the same needs, to make sure that these tools are available for everyone in need, to make their journey a little bit more pleasant.
